Aloha,
This vintage reprint beautifully captures a timeless scene from the series "Famous Views of Kyoto," originally published by Eisendo around 1835. The print depicts a serene winter moment in Kyoto, where a Geisha, clad in a traditional kimono, gracefully stands before the iconic Torii gate in the Gion district, surrounded by a landscape blanketed in heavy snow. The intricate details, from the falling snowflakes to the rich textures of the Geisha's garments, are a testament to the masterful craftsmanship that characterizes this series of ten prints, "Famous Places in Kyoto." This reprint faithfully reproduces the elegance and historical charm of the original, making it a perfect addition for collectors or admirers of traditional Japanese art. The overall condition is excellent, with vibrant colors and crisp details that reflect the enduring beauty of this classic scene.

Shipping: Although Hawaii is part of the United States, it is important to know when purchasing items that shipping times can be a bit longer and shipping charges can be a bit higher than for the US mainland. Please keep this in mind when rating my shipping charges and handling times, as your ratings have immediate discount or listing-standing consequences for me. Thank you for understanding!!!
Packing material: I charge you my costs for all packing materials used. However, this is Hawaii and not the continental US, and everything has to be shipped in from out of state. To give you an idea, a shipping box, if it is not a free one from the Post Office, costs between $4 - $9. Bubble wrap costs $1 per foot and I usually use at least 3 or 4 feet or more for breakable items. Foam chips per box (book box size) will be between $8 - $10, and packing tape costs me $3 a small roll.
Condition: This woodblock print is in good condition, the colors seem to be well-preserved, with vibrant hues visible, especially in the garments of the figures and the structures. The overall color balance looks intact. There is a small, visible spot near the bottom edge of the print, which could be a foxing mark. However, the rest of the surface appears clean and free of major blemishes , showing only minor signs of aging typical for a piece of this nature.
