Up for sale from a recent estate in Hawaii, this Japanese framed and matted color woodblock print that is titled "Dancer of the Heian Era" depicting a seated woman in a interior that was created by the well known artist Toshikata Mizuno (1866-1908). More about the artist:

Toshikata Mizuno was born on March 6, 1866 as Mizuno Kumejiro in Tokyo. When he was 13 years old, his father sent him to the printmaking school of Tsukioka Yoshitoshi. ... Later Toshikata Mizuno was instructed in the traditional art of Japanese painting by Shibata Hoshu and Watanabe Seitei.

Condition: 

The print is overall in good pre-owned condition, it was not inspected out of the frame, the paper is evenly toned throughout, the colors are strong, minor staining in places, possible old repair in the margins, the frame is black lacquer with brass edges fittings that are pitting, the shipping quote given is for framed shipping in case you would like to safe some money email me for a unframed quote
