Up for sale from a recent client in Honolulu Hawaii this late 19th or early 20th century Japanese unmarked silver (high grade) rectangular water dropper and fittings that was salvaged from a destroyed lacquer writing box. The water dropper is tarnished and would benefit from a thorough cleaning and polishing. The condition is described above - for more information please check the photos.
Measurements:
⅝ inch high x 2 ⅝ inches long x 1 ¼ inches wide x combined weight 65.1g or 2.09 troy oz
Condition:
The item is overall in good pre-owned condition, it was salvaged from a destroyed lacquer writing desk box, that means it comes still with two silver frames that held it in place in the box, they can be removed if the piece is just used as a water dropper, An Asian arts appraiser helped identify the item...although it is unmarked the appraiser felt certain based on the quality of the writing box that this was close to pure silver
