I received a consignment of about 175 paintings by Claude Vedel, a French Jewish artist living in Honolulu. The artist was a unique character. The collection included journals and artwork although currently only the paintings are offered for sale. After reading some of the journals and long essays written on the back of many of the paintings, it became clear the artist had perhaps reached the limit where eccentricity blurs with madness.
