Additional info on the title:

Based on the following poem attributed to Persian mathematician and poet Omar Khayyam (1048-1131)

With me along the strip of Herbage strewn
That just divides the desert from the sown,
Where name of Slave and Sultan is forgot-
And Peace to Mahmud on his golden Throne!

Measurements:

Board 20 inches x 36 inches

Frame 21.75 inches x 37.75 inches

More about the artist:

Illustrator, painter, designer. Born in Las Flores, Baja Calif

Condition:

The painting and frame are overall in good pre-owned condition, it was lightly conserved and cleaned, the artist was working in Taos New Mexico and Hawaii, The texture of the painting looks somewhat spotty but this is a wanted effect almost looking like a mix of pointillist and a scrape technique the artist employed at the time, the frame is ok but no show-stopper, the frame has some thin places on the front from old bug damage (were fumigated) nothing active
