Up for sale from a recent estate in Hawaii, this 1951 Japanese color print that is titled "JarFly on Corn in Autumn and was created by the artist Kin-u Takeshita as a painting and re-released as woodblock print by Uchida. Takeshita, Kin-u (fl. c. 1870 - 1920 ) Thought to be a student of Hogai Kano, Kin-u Takeshita worked during the Meiji period as a painter. He primarily painted genre scenes, landscapes, and kacho-e, or bird-and-flower prints. In the 1950s, the publisher Uchida released woodblock prints of Takeshita's paintings.
