The item is overall in acceptable pre-owned condition, there is a crack visible on the left and right side of the box close to the lower edge, the top and the lock is inlaid with gilt metal, the inside of the hinged top is lined in green leather and a spring loaded mirror can be detached from the inside of the top, the mirror back is lined with green velvet, the main compartment of the box has two handles and can be pulled out, the compartment dividers are lose and need to be attended to, there might be a couple pieces missing, the three containers in this compartment are complete, the deeper compartment in the back has space for 5 containers but only three of them are still in the box, two compartment dividers are missing, in the center between the hinges on the backboard of the box is a metal button when pushed down it opens the spring loaded drawer that is lined in green felt and shows space for jewelry, some chips in the wood some losses to the veneer in places, has good bones
