Wayne Takazono grew up on the windward side of Oahu, and resides in Kaneohe with his wife and two children. Wayne attended the University of Hawaii, and graduated in 1977 with a B.F.A. in Drawing and Painting. Over the years he has been involved in a variety of art mediums ranging from watercolors, oils, pastel, scupture, and jewelry. The results of these endeavors has shown him to be a versatile artist and capable of excelling in a variety of mediums. Wayne paints in the style of realism and has focused a lot of his attention on contemporary Hawaii, specializing in a subject that he has found fascinating: people. Wayne is an accomplished artist and his paintings are part of private collections throughout the world.
