Up for sale from a recent estate in Hawaii, this original 1985 Japanese limited edition 118/350 color block print that is titled "Boating (blue)"and depicts a female figure wearing a colorful dress with koi fish motif that is holding a basket of kittens and was created by the well known artist Yoshimi Okamoto (born 1949). The lower part of the print with embossing. The condition is described above for more information please check the photos.

More about the artist:

Born in Hokkaido,Yoshimi Okamoto is a contemporary print artist. After studying marine biology at Nihon University, Okamoto turned to a career in art, working as the student of Toshi Yoshida between 1974 and 1984. During this time, Okamoto caught the eye of his teacher, who professed the unique talent of his student. In 1980, Yoshimi Okamoto traveled to Northern California to teach at the Mendocino Art Center. Over the years, he regularly participated in the annual CWAJ (College Women's Association of Japan) print show. Today, he lives in Kanagawa. Yoshimi Okamoto also used the artist name "Ryusei Okamoto."

Condition: 

The print is overall in acceptable pre-owned condition, it had been non archival framed, and the cardboard backing toned the paper, even toning of the image, mat burn and lesser toning of the margins that were covered up by the mat, the paper is not brittle and could be professionally conserved and cleaned
