Up for sale from a recent estate of a well known collector here in Honolulu Hawaii, this 1985 Hawaii limited edition 79/200 lithograph print that is titled "First Born" depicting a young woman laying on a lauhala mat amongst papaya trees holding a new born baby above herself and was created by the artist Martin Charlot (born 1944). More about the artist:
Martin Charlot was born in Athens, Georgia, on March 6, 1944, to Jean and Zohmah (Day) Charlot. His French father, an internationally famous fresco painter who taught at the University of Hawaii, taught his sons art from an early age. Martin Charlot attended high schools in New York City and Hawaii and, although his father never encouraged him to become an artist, began painting as a career right after finishing high school. He is best known as a painter of finely detailed murals and oil paintings characterized by their vibrant colors. He also has lectured at universities, written screenplays, directed films, created commercial art, and illustrated books for both children and adults. He lives in Kaneohe, Hawaii.

The print is in good pre-owned condition, it is printed on 100% fine cotton C.M Fabrianao paper, the print as never framed before and shows light brown staining throughout, can be cleaned, strong colors
