Up for auction from recent client in Honolulu this 1980s Haitian Mahogany wooden covered box that features a hand painted circular painting on the top featuring Pelican birds in a river landscape and is signed R. Dupiton.
This and all the other Haitian items offered in my store were acquired by my client who was employees in the Foreign Service when living in Haiti in the early 1980's. She purchased all the items directly from the artists or in the market and the items are offered for sale only because she is downsizing her collection - she loves every one of her pieces.

Condition:
simple box in good original condition, with some scratches and regular signs of wear in places, hand made painting in good condition too,
