Up for sale from a recent client in Honolulu Hawaii this 1979 US Hawaii abstract stretched colorful batik that the artist titled "The problem with Seagulls is they don't know weather they are cats or dogs" and was created by the well known artist Jerome Wallace (born 1931). The condition is described above for more details please check the photos. In case you prefer the batik off the stretchers...I can take it off and roll it up and ship it at a fraction of the cost quoted.

Jerome Wallace (1931-) is a painter and printmaker, ands is especially known for his batik work, in Honolulu, Hawaii. He has participated in solo and group exhibitions throughout Europe and the United States. Wallace was born in Ohio and attended the Carnegie Institute of Technology and Texas Christian University. Jerome is an American ballet dancer, painter, batik artist, dramatic performer, director who has lived most of his life on the island of Kauai, Hawaii. He was noted as America's foremost aesthetic and technical innovator in the ancient art of batik. He is widely known for reviving batik art in the Western world after learning the craft in his travels to Indonesia.

Condition: 

The item is overall in good pre-owned condition, some staining in places, some old repairs, but otherwise structurally sound and for a over 40 year old cloth its in amazing shape
