Up for sale from a recent client in Honolulu Hawaii this 1970s US Hawaii Paris abstract stretched colorful batik that is titled "Love Splinters" and was created for a show in Paris by the well known artist Jerome Wallace (born 1931). Jerome Wallace (1931-) is a painter and printmaker, ands is especially known for his batik work, in Honolulu, Hawaii. He has participated in solo and group exhibitions throughout Europe and the United States. Wallace was born in Ohio and attended the Carnegie Institute of Technology and Texas Christian University. Jerome is an American ballet dancer, painter, batik artist, dramatic performer, director who has lived most of his life on the island of Kauai, Hawaii. He was noted as America's foremost aesthetic and technical innovator in the ancient art of batik. He is widely known for reviving batik art in the Western world after learning the craft in his travels to Indonesia.

The item is overall in acceptable pre-owned condition, a tear on the right edge, get a frame and non of these issues will be visible, but otherwise structurally sound and for a over 40 year old cloth its in amazing shape
