Up for sale from a local estate in Honolulu Hawaii this 1934 Mexican framed limited edition 4/17 proof color print that is untitled but depicts a young girl with some stylized combs in her hair and was created by well known artist Jean Charlot (1898-1979). More about the artist:

Christopher Brown is a representational painter whose style sometimes dips into abstraction. Brown studied painting at the University of California, Davis, where the faculty included Wayne Thiebaud, William T. Wiley, Roy de Forest, and Robert Arneson. His interests touched upon the American and British Pop Art movements, the role of media in visual culture, and the representation of history. Subjects for his works and series have included abstracted scenes of war and soldiers, landscapes based on images from movies, and works based on photographs. When asked about his work, however, Brown says: "The subject matter comes and goes, but all the paintings deal with issues that are purely painterly. Like issues of light and movement and depiction."

Condition: 

The print is in good pre-owned condition, it is evenly toned throughout, with very minor brown spotting in places, framed and mat are ok, the print was not inspected out of the frame, it is inscribed For Medori Christmas 1963 signed proof 4/17
