Up for sale from a recent client in Honolulu Hawaii, this 1930s Hawaii aquatint print depicting Waikiki palms illuminated by moonlight and was created and is signed in pencil by the "god-father" of Hawaii print making Huc M. Luquiens (1883-1961). The condition is described above for more information please check the photos. Free local pick up possible!!!

More about the artist:
Best known as a printmaker and teacher who lived in Hawaii during the 1920s and 1930s, Huc-Mazelet Luquiens was also the author, in 1928, of Copper Plate Printing, a pamphlet that was the Honolulu Academy of Arts first publication.
Luquiens was a member of the faculty of the University of Hawaii, where, in the 1925-26 school year, art instruction was offered for the first time. He later was named the head of the art department, and was largely responsible for attracting qualified
Condition:
The item is overall in good pre-owned condition, it has mat burn but is otherwise clean no brown spotting, some slight waviness in the margins
