Up for sale from a recent estate in Honolulu Hawaii, this circa 1900 German bronze sculpture on a round marble base that is titled "Die Badende" aka "The Bather" depicting a nude female figure and was created by the artist Ludwig Eisenberger. Ludwig Eisenberger was a German sculptor who worked in Berlin from 1895 to 1920.

Little is known about Eisenberger's life. He worked as a sculptor in Berlin from 1895 to 1920, where he created numerous bronze statuettes, which were often handcrafted by the Gladenbeck foundry located there. The Magdeburg Art Institute Reps & Trinte sold Eisenberger's designs. His works often showed male and female nudes and had titles such as Young warrior with a spear Female Nude with a Shell, 1910 Male nude with a whip Bathers Ironworkers Slave with lions Athlete as a warrior, around 1900 Gladiator with two tigers Standing Germanic warrior over a Roman standard Standing foil fencer, examining the blade of his weapon fencer Archer Gooseies Standing youth in loincloth with short sword and laurel wreath Warrior with shield Equestrian portrait of Bartolomeo Colleoni Triumphant Gaul At the Great Berlin Art Exhibition in 1900, Eisenberger showed a female bronze figure.
