Up for sale from a recent estate in Honolulu Hawaii, this 18th century French Louis XV table or mantel clock that is surmounted by a gilt Angel finial and stands on a wall mounted wooden and gilt metal console. The movement is signed Alexis Huau a Paris. I am not a specialist in these clocks so for any question be as specific as you can as to what you are looking for. Condition:
The item is overall in good pre-owned condition, it comes from a local estate, it has been in working condition, was turned off a few months ago and moved, the metal with some oxidation in places, all would benefit from a cleaning and polishing, some minor losses in to the metal accents in places, some of the gilt metal accents may need to be re-fastened in place as they are loose or missing some of the nails, the angel finial has a stable crack on its raised arm (see close up photos) the dial is clean and has no issues, time keeping was not checked but it was in use for the past 50 years
